Hurricane Florence<\/strong><\/h3>\n

As I type Hurricane Florence* rages. Although I am far from the storm, it\u2019s the only thing on my mind. With each update on the storm\u2019s path and efforts those in the storms projected path are making to prepare, worry mounts. If you are like me, your thoughts and energy are with those in the Southeast\u2014watching, waiting, worrying. As we send our energy and light to all in the storm\u2019s path, let\u2019s focus our creative effort there with today\u2019s prompt.<\/p>\n

\nWrite a hurricane poem from the point of the view of a hurricane. Muster all the hurricane language you can\u2014sounds and actions, too. Ask yourself, if Hurricane Florence were an animal or a machine which would she be?<\/p>\n

*This is the 5th time a Hurricane has been named Florence. Why? There are plenty of other names that begin with the letter F. Feel free to change your hurricane\u2019s name to something else. And if you do, consider: Does your hurricane want to hurt\u2026or hug?<\/p>\n

Think \u201cHurricane\u201d and get to it!<\/p>\n
