Pick a Number…<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Do you have a favorite number? Mine is 5. You can pick your own number for this challenge or use a deck of cards or a pair of dice to come up with a random one. Same with the letter. Pick your own or draw a letter from a word game. Have fun!<\/p>\n

1) Pick a number between 1 and 10.
\n2) Pick a letter.
\n3) Write a poem using that many syllables (or that many words) on each line.
\n4) Use as many words as possible beginning with your letter.
\n5) Write at least seven lines. Play with those words.<\/p>\n

Here’s a poem I made up following these directions:<\/p>\n

5, L
\nLucy leaves little
\nlines between luscious
\nlegumes planted in
\nher least favorite
\nplot of the garden.
\nLimited color
\nof light leaves lay to
\nthe left creating
\nsome leathernecking.
\nLet them alone and
\nthey will grow lavish.<\/p>\n

Set the timer for 7 minutes.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Start writing!

Don\u2019t think about it too much; just do it. <\/strong><\/h3>\n
