And so it is this year as Christmas (Dec. 25),\nHanukkah (Dec 22-30) and Kwanzaa (Dec 26-Jan 1) converge, we are smack dab in\nthe midst of the festivities. One way these holidays are celebrated is with\nlights! Lights! Lights! Lights! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In celebration of the holidays, write an acrostic poem about\nyour holiday traditions. An acrostic poem uses the letter of a topic word or\nwords to create a poem. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Write the word \u201cLight\u201d (or another holiday-related word)\nvertically down the length of a page. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. For each letter, write a related word or idea beginning\nwith that letter extending out horizontally. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Take a few moments to refine your poem. Try adding or\nchanging some words to add interest, rhythm or rhyme to your poem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4.
