User Error<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

User Error<\/em> is such a useful term. At one and the same time it blames and forgives: \u201cYes, I did it, but it wasn\u2019t my fault.\u201d<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Such is the case with Wednesday\u2019s prompt. After 113 consecutive weeks we totally dropped the ball. BONG BONG BONG\u2026<\/em><\/strong>We forgot to post a 7-Minute Poetry Prompt. Onward:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Think back on a time when you\u2019ve had a system malfunction? A SNAFU? A mess up? A day, event, moment when you dropped the ball: BONG BONG BONG (If you haven\u2019t ever had one on those times, make one up.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Take a moment to dreg up all the miserable, embarrassing, nauseating, gut-wrenching details. Allow yourself to wallow in the misery for one more minute. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Write a poem about that time. Try not to rhyme. Not to spell correctly. Not to sound pleasant. Let it be harsh and raw\u2014try breaking the lines in odd places. It other words: write a lousy poem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

End it with those two huge words: USER ERROR!<\/em><\/strong> <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Set your timer for 7 minutes<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Don\u2019t think about it too much; just do it!<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
