For some this means hiding in the AC, for others it means bugs or vacation, and for still others it means hot Hot HOT! When it\u2019s just \u201cToo Darn Hot\u201d there\u2019s one surefire way I know to beat the heat: Head to the Beach.<\/p>\n<p>Beach time is way more than just a thing to do. It\u2019s a mindset. And best of all, it\u2019s way COOL! So let\u2019s get beachy! Begin by listing whatever comes to mind when you think of the beach. Here are a few things to get you thinking:<\/p>\n<p>Frothy surf, bikinis, surfboards, sand, shells, waves, orange sherbet sunsets, coconut and cocoa butter, Frankie Avalon aka Moon Doggie . . .<\/p>\n<p>Now you try. If \u201csand in your pants\u201d is what Beach Time means to you, go with it. Create a poem using as many of those beachy words as you can. Here\u2019s a little theme music to get you in a beachy mood: Da-na-nah-na-nah-nah-na\u2026WiPE OUT!<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"text-align-center\"><strong>Set the timer for 7 minutes.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"text-align-center\"><strong>Start writing!<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"text-align-center\"><strong>Don\u2019t think about it too much; just do it. <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/kellybennett.com\/blog\/\">Kelly Bennett <\/a>and I began this 7-Minute Poetry Challenge over 1100 days ago.
