In the book Freak the Mighty<\/em> by Rodman Philbrick, Max and Freak attend the Fourth of July celebration and Max is amazed at what Freak knows.<\/p>\n

This is from page 32-33 in the book:<\/p>\n

\u201cMagnesium!\u201d (Freak) shouts as the white sparkles glitter down over the pond. \u201cPotassium chlorate!\u201d as the shells go womp-womp-womp and everybody goes oooooh. \u201cPotassium nitrate! Sulphur! Aluminum!\u201d And after a burst of hot red fire in the sky, Freak tugs my hair and screams, \u201cCopper! That\u2019s copper powder combusting with oxygen!\u201d<\/p>\n
